Zenith’s Makes Wee Boy’s Wish Come True!
31 Jan 2019
Zenith is very proud to play a part in making this wee boy’s wish come true. We have purchased an adapted trike for a young local boy James Russell. James should receive his specially adapted shiny red trike in approx. 7 weeks.
This is his story:
James has a medical condition called cerebral palsy along with talipes (club footed) this means James doesn’t have the full use of his right side. He wears special splints and a strap around his leg.
Recently James got to try out a trike and loved every moment of it. His words were “Mum I’m like all the other boys”
Riding a bike uses muscle that James isn’t able to use by walking with his walker. So raising the funds to invest in a trike for James will majorly help with his physio as well as his independence.
A few months ago James started Bobath – A charity for people with cerebral palsy.
The first question they asked James was. “If you could do anything in the world what would it be?”
James’s very fast reply was “To be like the boys and ride a bike”. Well now that wish is about to come true.
