31 Mar 2016
Zenith has been awarded the contract to replace a flare tip on a FPSO vessel in South East Asia. Over recent years, Zenith has successfully expanded into the offshore flare tip replacement market having completed numerous projects worldwide. Barge cranes and helicopters are an expensive alternative to Zenith’s cost effective, bespoke temporary davit solution.
“Being involved at the design stage of a project allows us to provide turnaround engineers with innovative alternatives for flare tip replacements,” comments Darren Smith, Business Development Director.
“We have a wealth of experience in working with the world’s leading oil and gas companies. At Zenith, we have all of the required skills in-house such as Structural Engineering Design, Fully Qualified Safety Management, and On-Site Skilled Access & Mechanical Personnel.”
FPSO is a floating vessel located near an oil platform, where oil is processed and stored until it can be transferred to a tanker for transporting. FPSO’s can be converted former supertankers or can be purpose-built. Such a vessel used for natural gas is known as a FLNG, for Floating Liquefied Natural Gas.
