Zenith to Present Technical Paper at CICIND Brazil
13 Mar 2013
CICIND will be holding their next meeting in Rio de Janerio, Brazil in April 2013. As part of Zenith’s commitment to CICIND, we are presenting a technical paper highlighting the issues involved in making safe a 70m high steel chimney prior to it’s replacement. Following an initial inspection, it was deemed necessary to design and erect a full circumference scaffolding to facilitate safe access whilst carrying out emergency repairs. We recently completed this project which called upon our structural engineering, repair techniques, dismantling and erection capabilities.
“CICIND continues to play an important role in keeping up to date with industry developments. We have had the privilege of presenting a number of papers that detail the wide range of services we offer. Our papers have included issues involving industrial chimneys, hyperbolic cooling towers and flare stacks, both onshore and offshore. All of our CICIND papers can be viewed by visiting our Technical Paper archive featured on our website. The Brazil meeting will no doubt prove to be yet another milestone and the conference location at the Windsor Excelsior Hotel situated on the Copacabana Beach front will be one of the most spectacular locations to date,” comments Darren Smith, Business Development Director.
