Zenith SAS Opens New Dedicated Research & Development & Testing Facility

2 Jun 2020

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new dedicated Research & Development & Testing facility at our head office in Midlothian, Scotland. The facility is located adjacent to our office block and represents our continued commitment to remain at the forefront of this safe, proven and cost effective solution to replacing flare tips. In addition, our new facility will play an integral role in the development of our innovative specialist bespoke lifting and access systems, which are proving to be an outstanding success at multiple petrochemical refineries throughout Europe, such as in FCCU applications, cyclones, vessels, furnaces, ductwork and other similar assets.

Offshore and onshore flare tip replacement without the use of expensive helicopters or (barge) cranes has played an integral part in Zenith’s success story around the globe. Our new purpose built Research & Development & Testing facility will prove to be a major asset in our further expansion as a pioneering leader in our field. The first project to benefit from our new facility relates to the replacement of a 5,000 lbs flare tip situated on an offshore platform in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa. The FAT test was successfully carried out during the month of May, 2020 and the onsite execution of the flare tip replacement is planned to take place later this year.
