Zenith Places It’s Mark on the World Famous London Skyline!

Zenith SAS Limited has been awarded a major chimney refurbishment contract in Chelsea, West London. This final stage of the works will see the completion of a four-year project at the iconic Lots Road Power station situated on the banks of the River Thames.

Work has started on the 85m high south brick chimney. Once completed, the focus will be upon refurbishing the 85m southeast brick chimney.

Throughout the course of the works, we will be publishing weekly updates as the project progresses until the south chimney is fully rigged ready for the repairs to get underway. Zenith Engineering, Zenith’s in-house structural engineering division, completed the design and testing stage of a complex temporary works cathead which comes complete with a fully integral internal and external platform. The design also features a two-winch system designed to supply both the internal platform and the external platform simultaneously. An external access gondola has been installed to allow the platform to be accessed independently.
