Zenith SAS Limited has been awarded a major chimney refurbishment contract in Chelsea, West London. This final stage of the works will see the completion of a four year project at the iconic Lots Road Power station situated on the banks of the River Thames.

Currently, Zenith SAS Limited, together with Zenith Engineering, Zenith’s in-house structural engineering division, is nearing the end of the design and testing stage of a complex temporary works cathead which comes complete with a fully integral internal and external platform. The design also features a two winch system designed to supply both the internal platform and the external platform simultaneously. An external access gondola will be installed to allow the platform to be accessed independently.

On completion of the ‘Zenith Testing’ and third party verification phase, the platform and cathead is to be dismantled and transported to London where a dedicated team from Zenith SAS will assemble and install the temporary works cathead using a crane prior to carrying out major internal and external repairs.
